The SHS Residency program is an innovative educational program for future physicians in primary care and a variety of medical subspecialties. “In keeping with the mission and vision of SHS, the Office of Medical Education will develop and deliver high quality medical education programs to enhance excellent patient care and meet the needs of the community.”
The aims of these educational experiences are to:
§ Enhance and expand scientific and medical knowledge § Promote best practices in healthcare § Develop skills associated with improved health care and health care services § Collaborate with other accrediting bodies to provide education for physicians and allied health care professionals Our graduates will be able to select a variety of career paths and are well positioned to impact positive change in areas such as academics, patient care, education and public policy. Our programs strive to prepare graduates to excel in their pivotal roles as physicians, researchers, teachers, and community leaders.
